I am fairly new to this website so bear with me if I go over a subject that has been brought up before. The majority of people I have read on this site seem to be from America, with young children between 2+6, I thought I might be of help in the future dealings with the schools . We have in England a means by which you can guarantee the level of educational support your child receives, it is called STATEMENTING, it is a contract, that is legally binding between yourselves and the school , and it guarantees the level of support your child receives from them. I don't know if you have the same , or similar system in the states, If your child is in mainstream schooling, the school receives extra funding from the state to tutor your difficult child. By statementing you make sure the money is spent on educational support, for your child. the more senior members I am probably teaching to suck eggs, and I apologise, but you younger childrens mums , its one to bear in mind for the future.
