wow, you can tell how much he loves the dog. Pet therapy as its called here is becoming really big. They just put a dog into the highschool here that roams the school. I hear it is working out great!!!

That's great Toonmom. We had a dog, but it was a spaz Jack Russell, LOL. That pic makes me want to get Mike a dog since he loves them so much....

Dave, although your wife may flip, give serious consideration. We started with a Cairn Terrier, as you know but others reading may not, a Jack Russell is a terrier too. Our terrior was a terror! Horrible dog for our family. Horrible dog for Austin. Too hyper and nippy. After a year of begging from my older son I conceded and we got 2 pups. They are Pekingese/Pomeranian mix and are brothers. (Much easier to have 2 dogs than one. They entertain each other.) Anyway, those dogs are the love of Austin's life. He snuggles up with them. He walks them, he feeds them. It's amazing. They are probably his best friends. He prays for them at night but no one else! They are so mild mannered and sweet dogs. I hate having dog hair everywhere and all the work that goes along with the dog, but to see Austin with them, it's all worth it.

We have a dog named Yukon and he looks just like your dog. He is a golden retreiver also. My kids love him. Expecially Chase. I think it is so great that your son is bonding with the dog. They are the best dogs for kids. The picture is way too cute!!!

They are so cute together - after reading about it, it's nice to see it in action. They look peaceful walking together.
