I also put this in the lounge area. I am wondering if anyone is famaliar with this?? I just recieved an email from the teacher about my sons recommendations for ABA and she said "social skills training, compliance training starting with discreet trials then moving to a more general setting, a 1 to 1 aide trained in ABA and a visual schedule to help with the transitions. I had not come across compliance training and was wondering what is is.

1. An issue of importance is identified

2. The behavior(s) are defined (e.g., "aggression" may be defined as a closed fist coming into contact with another person; or, "S.I.B." may be defined as lifting the head 3 or more inches from a surface and bringing it into contact with the surface, or some other descriptive sentences)

3. The goal(s) for the behavior are selected (With whom should it occur? how good is good enough?)

4. How the behavior will be quantified will be determined (they
should know about direct and indirect measurements)

5. A plan for how the conditions will be arranged should be made
(they should know about single-case research designs: e.g., reversal, multiple treatment, multiple baseline, changing criterion) If they cannot explain what these are, then you likely do not have an ABA program.

6. A plan for how to get the behavior of importance to happen at the right times for the right reasons should be outlined (They should know one of the several methods for training for generalization. If asked, they should have a reasonable answer)
