I'm not sure how to use this site but here goes..
I'm a great auntie of a dear little autistic boy whos mum is very angry and needs lots of help and answers to why this has happened to her son who was fine untill the mmr jab.She wants to know if any country has band the jab, if so who and why. she wants to know if there is a group who are fighting for answers too that she could join. As you can imagine she has a million questions. but doesn't have a pc. so if anyone caan start by answering a few at a time that will be great. thanks Eve.

So you are in England? I don't know of any organizations in England myself, but I am sure there are some. The plus with organizations is that you don't have to fight all the battles by yourself or dig up needed info by yourself. I will try to research it out and by the way, what specific area is she in? Sounds like she has already found someone willing to help her out, I applaud you for that.

It would be perfectly normal for your sister to be so angry, but let her work through it and just be supportive. In the long run it will probably be her anger that drives her to do all she will have to do for her child. A parent who finds their child is autistic goes through the same stages of greif as one who loses a child. The main difference being that they can never come to a point where they can put it behind them and move on, they must deal with it every day for the rest of their lives. The important thing to keep reminding her is that she must love her child just as he is at any given point in time, work and hope for the best outcomes and accept whatever they get in the way of improvement as a blessing. Above all, never, ever give up.

You can get a lot of info about MMR and other vaccine info as it relates to autism, as well as organizations, attorneys, suits filed, etc. and the latest autism research news at
www.feat.org and www.safeminds.com both are here in the states, but FEAT publicizes news from the UK and Europe also.

Dave thanks for your answer. I am printing off all information I can find and posting them to my neice, but I do find talking to people a help. I will keep you posted about Christians progress if you don't mind.
Christian is 2and half, hes not talking anymore but we are hoping he learns again, he runs around a lot and doesn't like any thing new untill he becomes used to it. He understands some things you say and he takes you to things he wants. He is a happy soul and dearly loved ,he has a new baby soon to contend with and I'm worried how he will cope, or should I saay how his parents will cope. I don't live to near to be on hand for them although her mum is a help.
Any way I'll be back!
I've got another message to read Bye for now Eve.

Hi there, I'm in Australia, and i know another site you can look up and find information on. It is in the UK, so this might be closer to hhome for you. www.autismconnect.net it has lots of info, and discussions and they even try to have guest spekers and things, which i have never tried, but they sound good. Look it up and see what you think. Also in yahoo groups they have alot of groups on autism, you could not join them all, but you can read through them and if 1 or two take your interest you could join. Just go to www.yahoogroups.com look up groups on Autism, and do alot of research. Suss the groups out as i have found some not so nice ones, with very bitter people running them, so they i have got out of pretty quickly. In all things, there are people of all different moods in life. Hope this is of some help, cheryl
