I'm curious to know if anyone can help me out with what resources are available in the state of Washington. I'm interested even as far as government agencies and school systems are concerned. I am not from the area and do not know what route should be taken. I would appreciate any input. Thanks.

I also live in Washington State and have gotten the most help from DSHS. You must have a documented diagnosis, after that they can link you up with everything from Summer camps to activities in your city. Financially we don't qualify for most of what is offered, but DSHS also has a Family Support program that allocates a specific amount of $$ for our son's support. I can use the funds however I want, as long as I can support that they were spent for Therapy, Respite or developmental aids. I provide receipts and they re-imburse me. As you can imagine, there is a waiting list to be in this program. There is also an Autism Society chapter in the state that will provide additional information.

I live in South Kitsap, so your school district would be different from mine.
