In the United States, the Senate and the House agreed to changes in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). They voted to reauthorize the IDEA 2004 on November 19, 2004 and sent it to the President for his signature. The President is expected to sign it and it will become law. This website outlines the changes in key parts of the IDEA with the changes in each area marked out and the additions in italics:
