"Such children have a severe deficiency of glutathione, the body's most important tool for detoxifying and excreting heavy metals such as mercury and lead, Dr. Jill James reports in a peer-reviewed study published this month in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition."

"While we all might like this dark side of vaccines to be just a crackpot idea, recent studies have provided solid evidence indicating that toxic effects of the ethylmercury-containing preservative may indeed have led to recent increases in autism and ADHD."
"Subsequent studies revealed that thimerosal inhibits methylation by blocking conversion of dietary or vitamin-derived forms of vitamin B12 to methylB12. Thus the beneficial effects of methylB12 in autism reflect its ability to bypass the toxic action of thimerosal."

That's pretty interesting. I don't know if I've read anything before that ties together the thimerosal idea with genetics and environmental factors. Hmmm..
Has any used "a form of folic acid, along with a source of methyl groups and the active form of vitamin B12, known as methylB12"? Something you do under doctor supervision? Have you used it exclusively or with special diets or other meds?

My son's testing indicated a B12 deficiency, glutathione deficiency, yeast overgrowth, and low seratonin. Testing also indicated he needed to be off casein.
He takes Methyl B12, glutathione and many other supplements.
The doctor signed for the testing, but I'm the one doing it all. I send him lists of what my son takes basically.

What specialist orders these tests? I don't know if our pediatrician have a clue. There is one dev. pediatrician in town who specializes in this sort of thing, but the waiting list is VERY long and reviews are mixed mostly negative. Neurologist did a bunch of tests, but I don't think anything like that.
Have you seen significiant positive results?

Parents are ordering these tests. I used The Great Plains Lab. The doctor didn't have a clue, but signed for the tests when I showed him some info. The tests have been more helpful than any the doctors have done.
Through supplements, things are not changed overnight, but yes I've seen positive results. It is an ongoing learning experience for me.
My son no longer takes Prevacid, which we were told he'd be on for life.
We keep his yeast under control, which keeps his moods under control.
He's more calm and aware and more healthy looking.

For the next 5 weeks we will be adding video of parents discussing
the effects MB12 has had on their children, both the positive and
all side effects they experience. Also, when I can get before and
after video this will be added. We intend to get 20-30 videos up in
the the next 5 weeks.
There is a lot of misinformation on the Net about MB12 as to the
method of getting it into the body, side effects, expected results,
etc. Hopefully these videos will help parents looking for treatment
options for their children to make an informed choice regarding MB12.
Currently we have 15 parents and 2 before and after videos.
NOTE: The MB12 protocol is FREE to ANY physician that calls our
office and requests it.
To see the videos, goto www.drneubrander.com and then select the
Videos tab.
