It's like we are going backwards with this situation. Andrea has started hitting and kicking the teachers at public school again. She hasn't done this in a year or so. I have try to observe her in the class room. She starts out doing well with her work and after her first assignment she starts getting angry and starts hitting herself and others. All I can see is that she will mess with her shoes and start yelling" their to tight or " their to loose" and start hitting others. I have tried to retie them but it's never good enough. If she is sitting at her desk where she can't see her shoes she will not do this, but if she sits or stands where she can see them she goes bezerko. It's the darnest thing. I have thought about changing her shoes to velcro straps or just letting her wear non- tie shoes, but call me stubborn or crazy I want to get her to get over these episodes.I don't want to avoid this problem I want Andrea to get thru this. Andrea has worked very hard to thru these type of situations but this one is getting overwhelming. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
