My daughter gets this regularly at her intensive school. This is a great therapy as it incourages speech through music which most kids love. They do one to one sessions and group sessions where they dance and do different activites. Sometimes they are on one instrament in a song or they need to do a particular move for a song. Some times they get to pick what to do other times the teacher picks.
My daughter comes home singing all the time.

I have my son listen to bethoven (spelled incorrectly) and Bach. He loves the music even when he is having a rough day. And they say it helps with a childs development. Some times he will put his headphones on and drag the first person that comes along to turn on the stereo.

My son Devon, who is 28-years old always loved music. He always travels with his CD's and his walkman. Now he is doing his own mixes and sometimes is a DJ at Special Olympic dances.
