I am so proud of my Autistic grandson, and his Mom especially. Christian is now 7 years old, and he is stepping-up to 1st grade. We are holding our breath, and pray he has developed enough social skills to be successful in first grade.
My son and his wife have run out of money, the State's, theirs and mine on his therapy for the last 5 years. So...
In the meanwhile, my daughter-in-law has been diligent in making sure Christian's programs are efficient and work best for him.
My point is, I'm knocked out at the books she has created to help Christian in ABA and other areas. Also, they've helped Christian SO much, that She began sharing her books with other Mom's (at no expense to them), to help other families with their own autistic angels. She's created 3 already, and they are loaded with HUNDREDS of images, training helps, and tables and guides uniform with ABA programs. I think they're BETTER.
You know that each child's program is individualized, but these books are wonderful, and when I viewed them, I knew they are a GODSEND and I wept.
Even the ABA therapists that have come to the house are in awe of how well these tools work. As you know, not every ABA therapist is the same, and these books kept Christian's programs uniform, even as the therapists changed over time. Now, these tools don't encompass everything, but they are very good. They ABA program Director for SC area gave them her nod too.
She's finally listened to Mom-in-law, and made a copy of each book, and put them on Ebay at the level of her expense for materials. If you know someone that could use help have a look. I KNOW these tools work, and until there is a cure for Autism, they help the instructor/parent and child to learn at several levels. I'm really proud of her, wanting to help others too. There is such a thing as a really lovely and caring daughter-in-law.
If you'd like to view the books you can see them and many pages here:

I pray the therapists for your child are all SUPERIOR, and that your angel has a miracle breakthrough, and can look you in your eyes and say the words "I Love You". Christian did that to me just this year when he said audibly "I love you Grammy".
