Our son was recieving over 10 hrs. of aba, s hrs of speech, 2hrs of OT w/ focus on sensory throught the early intervention program. Since his birthday fell in the end of summer there has been this gap period before school. his biggest setback from the drop of all therapies has been his pec and sign usage as well as verbalizations. How do I get it up and running again. He doesn't want to use them anymore at all.
I'm no communication specialists, but I would do my best to mirror the program he was on before hand... that is if you know the details. If it seemed to be working I would even want to mention the details of the program to the people who are to be working with him in the school system. We are in a transition between Elementary and Middle School and the lack of details communication between the two has made for a bad situation among other things.

thanks for the reply dave, I actually had been trained and then shadowed before everything stopped. Once the therapists weren't there, aidon won't cooperate. this is the biggest struggle we are having, his resistance. I am completly overwhelmed with this on top of the disagreements w/ the district and a longer gap period than expected. :( and thank you again. Any support I find on this forum is appreciated!
