My son is 9 years old and has Aspergers. He is and always has been in the main stream classroom. He gets along o.k with the other children, does not have any real connection with anyone in school. Our biggest thing with him lately is the noises he makes. All day long. Drives me crazy. We tried having him keep a chewy item in his mouth, to sort of keep him grounded, but now he doesn't want to do that anymore. Does anyone have the same issue and how do you handle it? I do my best to remain patient, but we all know how hard that is........ Thanks for all and any response.
