Thank you for the welcoming reception to your organization.

I was wondering if any members had any resources or experiences dealing with anger management in their autistic children.

My son Kendrick, is high functioning and has learned some great coping strategies... but, we are having a major problem with teaching anger management. He gets soooo upset for the littlest things.

We have tried behavior modification using rewards, deep breathing techniques, his favorite pastime...ROCKING... but still, have not had much success in helping him to learn anger management.

Any suggestions??????? :GFC:

Here is a link that you might pull some ideas from. Not having dealt with something like this with my son, I don't have any hands on advice. I was going to also say to look at all aspect surrounding the anger, but it is covered at the bottom of the linked page.

But have you tried eliminating dairy?

Another tactic is to reduce/eliminate phenols.

Many people on the spectrum have digestive issues which become behavioral problems. If you have not tried dietary intervention, you might try. The worst that could happen is it might not be the answer.
