Hi Laura,

Thanks for your post. I'm Viv. My kids (one 8 - High Functioning Autism) (one 9 - High Functioning Aspergers/ADD).

If there is some sort of help, other than ABA and/or diet, I'd be elated to hear it!

It is particularly frustrating being the parent of "higher functioning" kids because often people don't notice their disability right off. They just notice that something isn't quite right, or they 'act funny'. Thus, by children as well as adults, they are treated as if they are neurotypical.

Thanks,
Viv - VTMama

Hello again Viv!

There are actually lots of additional things that can be very helpful. It would probably be best to talk by phone, as it would take me forever to try to type all this out. You are welcome to call me at the Autism Solution Center, Inc. (901) 758-8288, or I can call you. Whatever works best for you. I have unlimited long distance, so I can call you right back on my dime, that way you don't have to be out the phone bill!

I look forward to talking to you soon!

P.S. I will be out of the office much the remainder of this week as we are gearing up for our annual walk-a-thon this Saturday. Once I get past this event this weekend, I should be back in the office as normal!

Thanks again!
