Could Kane just want sweets?
This kid eats sweets all the time, I was told chocolate helps with behaviors as well and he eats 2 mini ones a day and it does help but the frosting he wants constantly???? Jemi

Hey, some people simply have a sweet tooth, and certain things are liked or loved more than others :)
Nah, kids on the spectrum simply don't have any types of food they want all the time, because that's too normal!;)
Consider this: people get addicted to smoking, and what does it really do for you? There's absolutely no medicinal value to chewing or smoking tobacco, and yet a huge portion of the population does it, and it's considered "normal" despite the fact that it causes more harm than good when used in that way (there are actually a couple valid uses for tobacco, but I'd wager more than 99.9999% of what's grown is used recreationally). There are many other things that "normal" people get addicted to as well, that are at least as harmful to themselves and others.
Though I must say, if he's addicted to the store-bought frosting, wow... perhaps you need to steer him towards something else with much better nutrition! There's almost nothing of redeeming value of anything you buy out of a store when it comes to frosting in a can/bottle. It may very well be the texture he likes in the case of the frosting. Is it a single flavor of frosting, or that brand/type of frosting? There are certain things that make me gag due to texture if I try to eat them: he might have found something that's as pleasurable for texture. Who knows: if you discover it's the texture, you could find a way to blend up nutritious food into a special "frosting" and make sure he eats properly, if just a little odd for appearances :P
