HI,

I wanted to ask if anyone here knew if abilify can create aggression, anxiety, and violent behaviors? My son has been on it since then end of oct. and I see him more aggitated since mid-december. I was wondering if any of you had anything like that as well... My son normally is not violent, i've taken him to see the dentist, pedia. and nothing came up. tantrums are now a daily occurence....If I put him back on risperdal he will have tics because he is so sensitive to risperdal i had to give him a low dose. when he was on risperdal he ate alot and sometimes had behaviors because of excessive hunger. I also see my son eating alot and then hardly anything sometimes. Any input is greatly apprciated..I also read about akathisia and abilify inducing that symptom. my son currently takes 1 ml 2 a day and he weighs 70 pounds. thanks for info.

How long was he off the Risperdal when he started taking Abilify? How much Risperdal did he take?

Abilify is sometimes used to treat aggression, so it should not cause it.

My daughter took Abilify for a while, but she took 5 mg tablets and she weighed less then than your son does and he is taking 2 mg per day.
