 ADULTS WITH AUTISM
THERE ISN'T ENOUGH HELP FOR ADULTS WITH AUTISM. MY BROTHER IS 20 AND HAS IT!! please, I need someone to talk to I feel like there is no hope for him now. He'll just have to live off the system and under my care for life. What will we do with the mass of autistic kids now when they turn 18 and graduate high school???

 Re: ADULTS WITH AUTISM
Some adults with autism learn to live independently while others need varying amounts of support.
Is your brother still in school until he turns 21? Is he on a waiting list for adult services?
What kinds of things can he do? I hope that if he is still in school they are teaching him the skills he needs to be as independent as possible.
